Bad Marketing!

August 10th, 2007

So I’ve decided to start a new set of posts here at the ‘ol blog… I come across examples day and night of decisions that went horribly wrong in logo and branding design and yet somehow they managed to get approved. Given what I have to go through on a daily basis to get ANYTHING into market, it surprises me that stuff like this happens. For instance:

Bad bad bad logo

I mean seriously, how does this get approved? Did the CEO’s wife do the design? Did no one want to be the one that pointed out the obvious flaw here? Stay tuned, I’ve got more.

As a lifelong Apple user, I completely ‘get’ the way they go about creating the interface and experience of their products. You know an interface is easy to use when a 3 year old (in this case my daughter Daphne) can navigate her way into the picture viewer and look at photos. *sigh* That’s my girl. How long before she starts asking for one of her own?

Nexium concept design
